Golf Improvement

Golf is one of those games where your mental ability to concentrate and focus can be the make or break of your game. Much has been written about the balance between raw ability and mental attitude on the course. I don't think there's a golfer alive who hasn't suffered from anxiety or pressure before playing a shot, only to go and fluff it at the last minute.

Golfers usually have a swing to suite their physical shape and build. A swing they've practiced over the years. It's interesting to observe golfers when they practice their swing at the tee. How many times have you seen the difference in their swing when they actually play their shot. This is more often than not their conscious mind interfering with a well rehearsed routine. Consider how often you've swung the golf club in the past. It's like when you learned to drive a car for the first time. When you first started learning you had to concentrate hard to coordinate the accelerator and the clutch with all the gears. After time, this became an automatic response and you managed it without thinking. That is your unconscious mind at work, much like when you swing the golf club or make that putt.

How can hypnosis help golfers? Well - hypnosis is a heightened state of relaxation where your unconscious mind becomes very suggestible. In this state you are more open to positive suggestions about your golf play and mental attitude. It's this state where I give positive suggestions to increase relaxation, reduce tension and anxiety and improve your game. Obviously that's a very simplistic explanation and what's a good suggestion for one golfer is not necessarily so for another. That's why every consultation I give to a clients for golf improvement is individually tailored for their specific needs.

Ask yourself a few questions.....!

Have you ever let a bad shot affect the rest of your game....?
Do you suffer from first tee nerves?
Do you allow your fellow players to put you off your game?
Do you allow one bad shot or hole to effect the next?
Have you had a great front 9 only to finish with a terrible back nine?
Do you find the tensions of everyday life affecting your game?

A one hour session may be all you need to sort out those little problems in your mind and could bring about positive changes to your game...

Client feedback

I used to have an ongoing battle with anxiety, especially when I started the round with a few good scores on the early holes. One session with Turan and I found my game coming together almost immediately. I found my anxiety levels extremely low. It felt really good. So much so that at my next society round I won the day....JL London.
